Family Time

I am so excited about the upcoming holiday next week! I come from a BIG family, and I enjoy every minute I get to spend with all of them! The picture above is from our family reunion this past summer. Every two years we have what is called a "Cousin's Reunion" and our entire family gets together. I love that I get to spend time with and meet some of my more distant relatives, who I wouldn't necessarily meet otherwise.

But I'm definitely MOST excited to spend time with my nieces and nephews! The picture above is one of my sisters and our niece Chloe. Like me, Chloe also has a twin brother Gabriel. They live in SC, so I don't get to see them as much as I would like to, but I can't wait to see them next week!

  1. We had a family reunion this summer. It was great seeing people I haven't seen in years. The distant cousins I used to play with in South Carolina have children of their own. It was good to see my grandmother's sisters and brother. It's amazing how families are together and yet be apart by distance. It is always great to catch up. I like your idea of a "Cousin's Reunion".

  2. I think its great that your family has reunions regularly is able to stay so close! I come from a very large family too. My mother is the youngest of eight children and I have a lot of cousins too. Unfortunately we don't live near most of them anymore and don't visit often. We are definitely in need of a reunion!

  3. As both Greta and Ashley said, I think it is fabulous that your entire family has a reunion every two years. That is so special. I also come from a huge family. I have 6 aunts and uncles and 21 cousins (on one side), then 1 aunt and 3 cousins on the other. Family reunions happen very rarely because we all live in various places around the country. I wish that we would make the effort to see each other every few years, but unfortunately we see each other probably every 6 years or so :-( I get to see my father's side every holiday (because they live in NC), so we are very close. But, I am not fortunate enough to see the rest of my family. One of my cousins just got engaged, so maybe a reunion will happen at the wedding very soon! :-)
