Family Time

We had a family reunion this summer. It was great seeing people I haven't seen in years. The distant cousins I used to play with in South Carolina have children of their own. It was good to see my grandmother's sisters and brother. It's amazing how families are together and yet be apart by distance. It is always great to catch up. I like your idea of a "Cousin's Reunion".
ReplyDeleteI think its great that your family has reunions regularly is able to stay so close! I come from a very large family too. My mother is the youngest of eight children and I have a lot of cousins too. Unfortunately we don't live near most of them anymore and don't visit often. We are definitely in need of a reunion!
ReplyDeleteAs both Greta and Ashley said, I think it is fabulous that your entire family has a reunion every two years. That is so special. I also come from a huge family. I have 6 aunts and uncles and 21 cousins (on one side), then 1 aunt and 3 cousins on the other. Family reunions happen very rarely because we all live in various places around the country. I wish that we would make the effort to see each other every few years, but unfortunately we see each other probably every 6 years or so :-( I get to see my father's side every holiday (because they live in NC), so we are very close. But, I am not fortunate enough to see the rest of my family. One of my cousins just got engaged, so maybe a reunion will happen at the wedding very soon! :-)
